Q4 2023 Snapshot: Top Android Consumer Finance Apps in France

In the final quarter of 2023, the French Android market for consumer finance apps presented an interesting landscape. Data from Sensor Tower highlights the performance of the top five applications in this category. Here's a closer look at how each app fared in terms of downloads and weekly active users.

BoursoBank experienced fluctuating download numbers, peaking at around 52K before dipping to 23K by the end of the quarter. The app's weekly active users started at approximately 776K and saw a slight increase to around 808K in late November, ultimately settling at about 758K.

Google Wallet witnessed a consistent rise in downloads, from nearly 30K to a high of 47K in mid-December, and then a slight drop to 30K. Active users peaked at over 317K in late October but experienced a decline to approximately 275K by the quarter's end.

Paylib, le paiement mobile saw its downloads remain relatively stable, with a high of 35K and a low of 26K. Weekly active users started at around 50K and peaked at 55K, before a decrease to just over 46K by December 25th.

Ma Banque had a modest downloads trend, hovering between 20K and 22K, except for a dip to around 16K in mid-December. The app's active users showed more variability, with numbers ranging from around 3M at the beginning of the quarter to a peak of over 3.1M, then down to approximately 2.9M by the year's end.

Crédit Mutuel Pay, the newest entrant, demonstrated an initial rise in downloads, reaching over 30K, followed by a decrease to around 13K. Its weekly active users showed impressive growth, from approximately 63K to over 124K, indicating a strong end to the quarter.
